Goals
- Find out usability issues on the new notifications concept, so I can learn and improve the way users manage their notifications.
- Ensure participants understand how to read the information for each screen on the notifications flows.

Participant criteria
Participants for this session are Blibli users who have used the app in the past month. I want to ensure these users can adopt the new notification features Blibli app. I need 5 participants to join the session.
Testing preparation
- In this session, I will use remote usability testing methods,
- I reached out to my previous participants and invited them to join this round of usability testing. It turned out that most of them were available during the evening, so I scheduled the sessions and sent out calendar invitations accordingly,
- I already prepared the prototype and made sure there were no compatibility issues during the session,
- During the session, I'll moderate the testing and ask questions following the test scenario below.
Test scenarios
There will be 3 missions in this session, and the missions are listed below:
Imagine you want to turn off the promo notifications in the Blibli app. Using this prototype, can you show me how you would turn off those promo notifications?

Results
During the session, I used Figma as a prototype, and Gmeet as a tool to interact with the participants. Here are the highlights:
- Most of the participants were familiar with the notifications menu, as they mentioned its similarity to other platforms like Tokopedia or Shopee.
- Most of the participants commenting on the turn on/off button, participants said that it's better to use a toggle button like the option to enable/disable all notifications. They believe this approach is more intuitive compared to the current on/off button (focus on the tiny copy).
- Some of the participants expressed their satisfaction because now they can change the sound of Blibli notifications.
- On a scale of 1–5, most of the participants gave a score of 5 (high) for the ease of navigation for each scenario.
Bug & issues
There were no issues during the session.
Recommendation & Action Plan
Based on the findings above, I'll adjust the button to enable and disable notifications by using the toggle button.
